ELDIS overcomes barriers and supplies radars to China

The Czech company Eldis Pardubice is participating in the construction of the Chinese airport Chengdu Tianfu International Airport by supplying and installing two surveillance radars.

The second international airport in Chengdu should be completed by the end of 2020 with the goal of full operation before the start of the Summer World Universiade 2021. The airport is categorized at the highest level in China and covers a total area of 1 200 000 m2.

The four terminals of the airport are located in the northern and southern part, while only the northern part with two terminals (T1 and T2) covers an area of 600,000 m2, which is about 100,000 m2 more than the area of the first Chengdu International Airport (Shuangliu Int. Airport). In the first phase, three runways and four terminals are to be completed. The total value of the contract is almost 78 billion yuan.
