At the beginning of 2020 Česká letecká servisní has successfully handed over two (2) modernized EC-120 helicopters back to the Lithuanian operator / Lithuanian Border Guard.
One of the helicopters was modernized using special mission equipment (EOP/Electrooptical Payload, DMM/Digital Moving Map, VDR/Video Recorder, new MFDs/Multifunctional Displays and corresponding installation material) while the newly installed equipment had to be integrated with all existing / remaining systems. The second helicopter was provisioned / pre-pared to be able to fully operate the special mission equipment in the same scope as the first one.
Česká letecká servisní takes deep interest in special mission modernization programs and so far we have participated in such programs in Poland (for the KGP / Polish Police helicopter unit and the Polish Border Guard), Lithuania (Lithuanian Border Guard) and also in Czech Republic (for the Czech Air Force and Police Helicopter Unit).
All of these projects are especially difficult from certification point of view (full EASA compliance is usually required for all Police / MoI projects) and are very demanding in regards to our installation and engineering department. CLS is proud to be one of the few European companies actually capable, experienced and certified to successfully finish such projects.
